After which, they will start by collecting pacdots on the board and the player with most pacdots wins.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;But in this game there’s a twist, either player will become Pac-Man or the ghost during the game. This is to make it fair for both players to achieve the objectives of the game.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;And to bring to a whole new level, we added boards that can be combined with the existing layout based on the difficulty level that the players chose to have.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;On top of that, we give our players a more real life experience. We introduced different terrains so that players have more choices to consider and plan their moves carefully before committing their moves.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;u&gt;&lt;b&gt;Gameplay:&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Before starting the game, two players are required to set up the modular board to their desired scenarios. After that, pacdots will have to be placed on the modular board that marks with an ‘X’. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;Once done, both players need to roll a die to determine the character they are playing. Higher number will have the advantage of playing Pac-Man while lower number will play the ghost. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;Upon decided, Pac-Man will roll a die to determine the amount of steps to take. When Pac-Man collected two pacdots more than the opponent, there will be a pacmandigm shift which literally means both characters will now switched and the role of the players changed. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-justify: inter-ideograph;"&gt;If the ghost managed to capture Pac-Man, then Pac-Man will have to surrender one pacdot to the ghost and both will respawn to their starting position. Nirvana Blocks will spawn at set intervals converting Chakra  chains to energy to restore a barren world.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In Chakra 7, every player action produces a different audio cue that  organically adds to the background track, while the visuals in the  background change according to the player’s play style and performance –  Chakra 7 is an audio-visual experience where the game’s aesthetics are  governed by the player’s actions and ensuring that no playthrough will  be identical to the last.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are a total of 7 levels in the game, and each level allows  players to discover new elements based on their play-styles, and will  soon turn into an enriching experience for the players as they progress  further into the game.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;One of the core features of the game is Nirvana Mode, which can be  initiated via filling the Plant of Life with energy through speed and  intelligent play. The amount of energy in the Plant of Life will also  help to boost player score accordingly, and once fully filled, will  allow player to enter Nirvana Mode. (A longer chain of running sequence gains you more points and  energy.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;4) Energy level will be shown in the Plant of Life. Higher energy  provides a higher multiplier for score, and once Plant of Life is  completely filled with energy, player enters Nirvana Mode. (The energy  in the Plant of Life deteriorates over time and deterioration rate  increases per level.)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;5) Nirvana Mode provides an unlimited amount of Nirvana Orbs for a  short duration. Nirvana 2 is automatically unlocked once player reaches  level 5, and to initiate Nirvana 2, one has to sustain for a period of  time. During Nirvana Mode, energy in the Plant of Life decreases  rapidly, however energy bonuses are given when players drop the Orbs on  the blocks. Nirvana Mode ends when there is no more energy left in to  Plant of Life, or when the duration ends.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;6) As player goes into higher levels, more elements of the game can  be unlocked. The objective of this game is  to guide all the coloured aeroplanes to the correct coloured parking.  You must put arrows on the ground to make the aeroplanes turn when they  are on them. However, that would be like a slideshow and not a game, right? So, I decided to put in a character into the game which has this 'ability' to make things move, including itself. So, I designed this game in such a way that this characters make inanimate things animate in order to solve the puzzle in that particular level. However, after his then Wife to be turned back on him, be began throwing away all that he once believe in. Hatred grows, and being in charge of the social affairs of the world, he now rages in on those who find love.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: small; line-height: 115%;"&gt;Most people find him to be a God which has lost his roots, and treated him as a nuisance.&amp;nbsp; However, some others find him a key figure in acquiring true love, for he often causes problems between in a relationship, ranging from, the daily quarrels between people(lovers) to the lost of trust and even infidelity. This essentially meant that those who are able to overcome these obstacles will find true love.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: small;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB" style="line-height: 115%;"&gt;Introduction of Love God&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: small; line-height: 115%;"&gt;The Love God will appear at a slightly later part of the game, and will reappear after the player passes each level. The Love God will first give a warning before appearing, another warning before he begins his rage. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: small; line-height: 115%;"&gt;In his rage form, he forces a beam between the spawn point and the axis. All spawns which collides with the beam while in active form, will be destroyed. Players have to deactivate the spawns and activate them back again when he wants to match it with the zodiac signs at the axis.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="MsoNormal"&gt;&lt;span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size: small; line-height: 115%;"&gt;In order to progress in the game, the player must ensure that he/she has match the zodiac correctly based on the 12 zodiac signs compatibility.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Sypnosis:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;This game is created by a team of 5 from Republic Polytechnic for our Understanding Test 2. It is designed under the theme "Zodiac" and is constrained by using only mouse movement and the left mouse button. At first we came up with many ideas but in the end, we went with the Lead Designer's ideas since the other ideas were not as good as his or that his idea was more manageable to prototype a game out in 2 weeks.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;The toughest thing in the development of this game is the amount of zodiac-related research we have to do so that every part of the game works as intended. As there are many version of zodiacs, we have to pick out which one is used for the game. However, when I saw that the theme for the EGP competition was "One Button Game", I decided to use that assignment and polish it up to make it a game whereby I can include all those concepts I've learnt in class into it and submit it for the competition. Therefore, I started to design the levels, create the sprites and code the whole assignment from scratch. After a few days of hard work, I managed to complete it and submit it in time. The original game was tough on the other levels due to it being a team assignment and my team members are pretty hardcore about making the levels hardcore. Therefore, I decided to drop that hardcore mode and make the levels here easier so that people can play this game and actually complete it. The players gains a bonus for putting the right coloured sheeps in the right coloured pen.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Sypnosis:&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;This game is created for the Experimental Game play Project competition which is hosted every month. It comes with a theme and we're supposed to create a game in 7 days for it. However, to be honest, this game was done in more days than that due to the amount of people and the amount of polish the designer wanted for the game. In the end, the game turned out to be pretty polished, considering that this is the first the team made a game together. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;The game started with many ideation and many iterations. As a programmer for the game, I am always asked by the designer to iterate on it to fit what he wanted the design to be. It was also meant to be a test of patience for the player(s) that is(are) playing the game. The game was intended to be played by people of all ages so it was conceptualized to be simple, intuitive as well as challenging at the same time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To set it apart from the competition, I was thinking that maybe that kind of 'never ending' game was just plain and it could be played without challenge if the players got a hang of it. Therefore, I decided to use the concept of 'multitasking' to make the game more challenging. The features that I wanted to test out with this game is 'multiplayerability' and 'socialability'. I wanted to test this game in a way that this game can be played with a lot of players on one single computer instead of networking with other computers for its multiplayer part and for the socialability part, I was thinking that if people all cramped up in one area, they might just talk with one another while playing and this might make them socialize with people that they do not know and make friends with them.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;When making this game, I used the engine that I knew the most which is Game Maker 8.0. I somewhat have some experience with using it even though I'm just a budding game designer and game maker.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Goals that went right:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;The basic gameplay system: Holding the button and not letting it go for as long as the player can. This part went off smoothly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Up to 3-4 keys can be pressed simultaneously during the game - letting up to 4 players play at the same time.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Ideas coming in... to improve on the gameplay so as not to make it boring.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;Goals that didn't went right:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;ol&gt;&lt;li&gt;I wanted the game to be played by 10 people at a time but it can't be done with the rig that I'm using right now because my keyboard can only register button presses below 4. Else, it's not possible.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;I wanted to do everything by myself like the design, sounds etc but for the sounds, I couldn't make a soundtrack that is suitable for it. Therefore, I decided to use some googled soundtracks that fits the nearest. I actually wanted the soundtrack to sound more godly but then...&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ol&gt;What the game should be (Explanation and Spoilers) like: &lt;span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);"&gt;SPOILERS!!!&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I was brainstorming my ideas for the theme "Neverending" and I remembered the "Hold the car for as long as possible game to win that car" Game that is shown on the news some time back. So, I decided to use that concept as a gameplay in this game. I thought, "If people could hold on something for so long, then they could hold on to it forever if they want". So I made use of that thought as a basis of my never ending game whereby players (could) 'neverendingly' hold on to something. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So, I thought up of a story to complement my game in which the player is a human who is about to die and they have to hold on to their lives because as humans, we naturally don't want to die. The player is then instructed by God to do things while holding on to his life. For the part whereby the player has to kill the birds, the explanation is this: The black birds signify human's wrong doings (as depicted by the black colour). So by killing those black birds, it shows that their wrong doings are 'killed' and they are forgiven by God. The other things like "Follow this, click this" are actually testing the players to follow and obey God's Orders (instructions) as hinted by the game's name "The Last Order". The game was named "The Last Order" because, near the end of time (the player's lives), when they are about to die, all they can do is to hold on their lives before dying and as humans, we all want to leave this world without our sins so that we don't get our retributions in our afterlife. So,, the last thing that they want to do is to follow God's order and do what it takes for them to get eternal bliss then.....&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;*PS: I'm a believer of God so I made this game as it is. The mechanics in this game is simple and intuitive and its purpose is to simplify gameplay as well as to test out several things that I have in mind.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;They are: &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;Test of Intuition - I wanted to test how well players are able to figure out things and gameplay mechanics just by looking at the game and its gameplay. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;Test of Patience - I shouldn't post spoilers about this because the players will find this out by themselves. This is also part of the challenge and fun of the game. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div style="text-align: center;"&gt;Keyboard Limit – While making this game with Game Maker, I realized that my laptop’s keyboard has a 3 character key limit that can be pressed at a time. However, on some other keyboards and combinations, I could do more or less.
